Violence against men and violence against women are both awful things, especially to the extent that the WWE takes it. Women aren't the only victims. "Crawl around like a dog" was not just something women go through on that show.

Linda McMahon is not the only person responsible for this shit. This is not something that should be limited to attacking her during her misguided run for the Conn Senate.

This is something that should become a millstone around both Linda AND Vince McMahon's necks. BOTH. BOTH OF THEM. BOTH OF THEM!!!

Of course these scumbags are protected by FREEDOM OF SPEECH but when does America turn this bullshit off and tank their ratings? Where is all that talk about RESPONSIBILITY when it comes to this shit?

TURN IT OFF, AMERICA. TURN IT OFF.

I'm glad it's finally an issue among nationwide Dems but this is one of those "about damned time" things. We should chase Linda (and by extension Vince) off the candidacy and then camp on their doorsteps as long as we can until the police thugs show up. Every viewer should be ashamed of watching this.

People who howl about "Innocence of Muslims" should be howling even LOUDER about this.

This may be free speech but we owe it to ourselves to convince as many people as we can to turn it off.

She was HUGE in WWE and her entire family played parts in the WWE acting bits you'd see.

And yes, the women were very much objectified by the WWE. If you didn't have a hardbody with extra-large fake tits they didn't want you on the WWE circuit.

I'm in utter shock that they let this on TV.

This should be hung so heavily around both their necks that they can't even get outside their door without pushing through throngs of protesters. They should be boycotted. The networks who play this shit should be boycotted.

Linda McMahon should be discredited from running for office but her husband Vince deserves to be shunned from the networks.

People who attend these shows ought to be utterly ashamed.

Just that if someone says 'That's her husband's company' - no it is not.

It was their company together until 2009 when she resigned to run for US Senate the first time.

She's one of those crazies that thinks she can buy herself a senate seat.

but I also know how the WWE works. Vince is literally the end-all-be-all of that company. His wife played a small on-camera role and dealt mostly in the corporate end of the company, but she answered to her husband, as everyone does. Vince McMahon runs that company like a dictator and nothing gets done, nothing - down to the slightest detail - without his approval.

Like I said, his wife had a title on-paper, but in reality, she was no more influential than the janitor or mail room guy.

She and her husband Vince McMahon made their fortune pushing "wrestling" programs which were pretty racist, sexist, and very, very violent.

She is running neck and neck with the Dem candidate, which is a very sad commentary on Connecticut.

wasn't much.

Massachusetts already has Warren pulling ahead and I suspect the next poll out of Connecticut will put Murphy in the lead.

If McMahon couldn't win in 2010 in a year when GOP and Tea Party was enjoying a massive political surge then she will have a tough time winning in a year with an extremely week GOP presidential nominee and running in a state that votes strong democrat for president.

1. its fiction, 2. promotes rape. 3. for those who actually watch porn most know it's fake.. and I don't watch 99 % of the hardcore crap out there. (hello Bree .. hence probably why she retired) 4. seemingly from the crowd of zombies in the stadium. it's bullshit. Seriously Linda is a pimp. there are good and bad pimps. Male or female. She's one of the bad pimps.

Palin was brought on board supposedly to get the women vote. It had the opposite effect and women knew it. As their husbands glazed over at the site of this lady prostituting around. Like a 13 yr old stuck in a 45 yr old body. I might word things wrong (ADD) but hopefully it gets some message across. PUKE. 1. Watch solo porn 2. talk up an honest conversation with a verified porn celeb and lean what it's really like.

Pro wrestling has of course always been violent. But when the promoters stopped pretending it's real, they no longer had any limits. I watched it in the early 80's (started not long before Hulk Hogan came along) and it was fun. Now, I could never imagine letting my kid watch.

wrestling has storylines and good guys and bad guys and the bad guys say and do things to get the crowd to not like them.

It's part of telling a story, which is what wrestling is and has always been.

You can find it trashy if you want. And I won't defend Linda McMahon (because her role in this is so limited its not even worth defending) but I will defend being a fan of wrestling. It's entertainment.

I've enjoyed it since I was 10, and it hasn't warped my brain or made me into a wife-beater or mentally unstable person.

It is just something my husband and I did back in our twenties in the late 90's and early 2000's. I went to No Way Out in 2000 in Hartford when I was 24. I stopped watching it eventually.

Linda McMahon was a HUGE part of WWE. She was on tv promoting the product and part of the story lines. Her children Stephanie and Shane and her were all part of the company for years. But this is really nothing new to us here. Wrestling was pretty popular here back after I finished college, with Triple H and Stone Cold and the Undertaker. CT was the home base so it always got a lot of attention here.

I never really thought of the WWE as representing women so badly when I was younger but then it just got worse and worse so I stopped watching it. Lately the McMahons have tried to clean it up and be more family friendly, I guess because she ran for the senate twice.
