voting Republican.

This disgusting vote today should be very offensive to anyone who supports veterans.

Republicans are strong supporters of veterans.

This vote today proves otherwise.

to block passage....Procedural objections require 60 votes to overcome...Jeff Sessions of Alabama raised the objection. Is there anything is the world more despicable than these republicans? I bet if Obama came out against pedophiles, they would rush to make pedophilia legal.

comments coming out of the gop.

He was saying that our troops are over there, trying to train these Muslims to take over for our troops, but all of these comments are infuriating them.

It literally made me SICK!

Here they are blaming the President for what is happening in the ME and the GOP is working against our troops!

Found this:

The bill fell two votes short during a procedural motion, with every Senate Democrat backing the bill along with five Republican senators and two Independents joining them.

of extreme filibuster abuse.

The 60 vote requirement will freeze America into political stagnation and collapse.

I'm calling on all DUers to put this filibuster abuse near the top of our political discourse.

Stop and ponder this:

If the Senate passes a bill, and the President says he will sign it, all eyes will be upon the House. All blame would be placed on the House. Our President's jobs bill would be put squarely on the House if not for filibuster abuse.

THIS IS WHERE WE NEED TO BE!!!!!!

And we would be there if not for filibuster abuse. I put it up there in equal importance to appointing Supreme Court Justices. This is how important the issue of filibuster abuse is. Certainly today should have convinced you of that.

I keep wondering if there is any way to charge these horrible people with treason. They are actively working AGAINST us the American people and this latest gut kick is to our veterans. How can they sleep at night knowing that they are working against the best interest of the people who elected them?

Since watching some of the secret tape of Romney and hearing him talk the way he did I have shed real tears to be confronted with the undeniable fact that this so-called "good man" has so little regard for his fellow man. He would leave the 47 % to die alone, hungry and cold. And apparently our Congress feels the same way about our military. God help us all.

The only thing that gives me one glimmer of hope is that this awful man and his just as awful sidekick are sinking lower in the polls every day. Their chances of being our leaders for the next four years get smaller every day. I hope that someone does get the goods on Romney so that just as soon as the election is over (AND BARACK WINS) he gets notified that he is being audited and will have to produce all of his tax documents for the past twenty years. He and Ann can do some splainin' to the IRS. Payback is hell.

The slime balls in Congress need their comeuppance, too. They need to be punished for what they have done (or should I say NOT DONE) for our veterans. Suggestions?
