When sports writers use your campaign as a metaphor for bad/worst, your campaign is in trouble

When a Presidential campaign and candidate are so bad they start to be used in sports articles as punchlines and metaphors for the worst teams in the league, it's bad. Featured in the below article, "Or, to put it another way: The Romney campaign has had a better September than the Raiders."

When your name passes into the general lexicon as a substitute for "Loser", you are toast.

Not just regular toast, mind you, but a piece of White Bread that was placed inside of a coking oven for fourteen hours kind of burnt.
