Drowning kid is saved by swimming pig... why can't humans be this nice?

OMG...I have now become that guy who posts cute animal videos. But, in this case, it is a pig who swims over to help a baby goat in distress.

It saddens me to think that these animals of different species can care for each other but we don't even see that in our own species.

Think of it this way: if the middle class is the drowning kid, the Dems are the piglets and the Republicans? They are the people running the camera not helping. I mean, the vid is probably worth some money, you know--so why try to save a drowning living creature? (it will probably feel entitled to food or shelter anyway)

I would never eat one. That's like eating a border collie or a dolphin or something.

Too bad the human didn't go in to help the poor goat, though.

and yeah, I think it's pretty clear the pig has been trained. Pigs are remarkably easy to train.

13. "Goat in the water"--could be trained--if so then endangering the goat on purpose is animal abuse

So, I'd rather think that the pig saved the goat rather than thinking that they put a baby goat out in a pond in danger.

In my take the pig is a hero otherwise someone is committing animal abuse by putting a baby goat out in the middle of a pond to train a pig.

8. Hey, DonRedwood and other animal lovers (and lovers of these videos)!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these videos. It brightens my day and no doubt others as well, so I'm grateful when people share these things.

I also love libraries of these types of videos, so we can watch our favorites when we need a smile.

Soooooo, I created a category at Wishadoo!'s video library for COMPASSIONATE CREATURES (I can rename, of course). I also created one for SQUEE ALERT, 'cause there are just so darn many cute, cute, cute videos!

If you guys would like to add videos there, to organize your favorites for future reference and share from there, too, you are more than welcome to. Actually, I'd be grateful for people to add to it.

(I need to clean up the categories soon, and any suggestions are welcome).

I added this adorable Hero Piglet video there:

After you register at Wishadoo!, you simply click the EXPLORE menu tab, then select "Videos," and then add/upload video.

Select the category, insert the YouTube URL and that's it!

11. do you have the deer that is guarding the swan's nest in the cemetary?

that was amazing too... a widowed goose couldn't leave her nest to eat until a deer showed up and started egg-sitting. amazing!

to curate these lovely stories.

I also need to develop www.ourcollectivegood.com, where inspiring stories are posted.

I need help though! LOL

If anyone is inclined to create a profile at Wishadoo! and help share all these wonderful tidbits -- be it video or articles or photos or whatever -- that would be WONDERFUL.

16. Animals don't abuse their young. Humans are almost all repressed, and messed up. That's why.

Almost everything we discuss on this forum is making more sense to me now that I've begun to understand the area of child abuse. Nearly every single human has been subjected to it in one form or another. And the parents are always given a pass except in the most severe cases.

Romney, Bush, Hitler, and all of the rest are just getting a free pass because the abused who identify with them.

There is hope. We can break the cycle of unconsciousness.
