Dear Nate Silver....

"Sept. 19: A Wild Day in the Polls, but Obama Ends Up Ahead

By NATE SILVER

At about 1:30 on Wednesday afternoon, I tweeted in exasperation: “The. Polls. Have. Stopped. Making. Any. Sense.” "

The reason the fucking polls make no sense anymore is because the right influenced polls have abandoned any fucking pretense of impartiality because the pollsters know that Lurch the Fucking StiffTM is going down in fucking flames. Desparate to grab at straws, these fucking paid-for shills are reaching further into their database of right leaning fuckwits to try and 'right' the numbers.

Each time the walking wad of phlegm opens his fucking mouth is another couple thousand votes in the President's direction. Frankly, I can't wait until after the first debate when the only votes the assclown's assclown will garner will be Horsey WifeTM, the Sons of CowardiceTM, Alpaca/Alfalfa the Dancing PonyTM and the Kockptttttttttttuuuuuuuuiiii BrothersTM.

So fuck the Righties, Nate, they are there to disrupt the fucking dynamics so that people think this is a fucking horse race.

It fucking isn't, it's the beginning of game over.

stopped being Nate Silver's words and became your own, but could you please separate it somehow so that others know Nate didn't write from, "The reason the fucking polls..." on?

Here's the rest of what Nate had to say:

I’d just seen a Marquette University poll of Wisconsin, which put President Obama 14 points ahead of Mitt Romney there. This came after a Rasmussen Reports poll of New Hampshire, published earlier that day, which had given Mitt Romney a three-point lead in the Granite State.

There is no plausible universe in which Mr. Obama wins Wisconsin by 14 points but loses New Hampshire by three. It’s not even obvious which of the states is more favorable for him. Earlier this week, for instance, we’d seen a Wisconsin poll putting Mr. Obama up just one point there, while a different survey of New Hampshire gave him a five-point lead.

Following the polls on Wednesday reminded me of the aphorism: “If you don’t like the weather in Chicago, wait five minutes.” When there are twenty or more polls published in day, as there were on Wednesday, there are necessarily going to be some stronger or weaker ones for either candidate.

There are also going to be some outliers — sometimes because of unavoidable statistical variance, sometimes because the polling company has a partisan bias, sometimes because it just doesn’t know what it’s doing. (And sometimes: because of all of the above.)

It isn't a reliable pollster. Right Wing shills are like that.

The gray lady's editors would have him spanked for using that language, for starters.

Please do not attribute what is not Nate's to Nate.

they have resorted to only polling those with who still use rotary phones. For you kids, they look like this:

The best way, of course, is to not only poll only landlines, but to only poll rural areas, and that's the honest way to do it.

The less honest way is what some are actually doing. My dad gets three poll calls a day on his one phone line, I've gotten one call each on my two landlines since I've had them. Which either means I need to go buy a lottery ticket right now this second, or they're only calling back people that give them the answers they like.
