The URL is a secure connection, and leads to a page displaying the document, not a PDF, DOC, DOCX, or other executable file. The poster is a 12 year veteran with 58K posts.

Not had a problem. I'm also a subscriber to the site, for their fantastic book collection.

But

I have Linux machines, most viruses are targeted to Microsoft machines.

It's always good to run a virus check if there are concerns.
