Meredith Viera is still a right wing phony. She gave as many softball questions as

Gregory does.

Vieira dinged the candidate in an interview with Joy Behar. "Yea, he's right," she joked, after watching the clip of his remarks. "Shows more insight in that moment than he has throughout the entire campaign actually."

She did add, however, that she understood Romney's apprehension about "The View," telling Behar that the co-hosts were "tough" and that the show was "somewhat liberal."

Behar mused that Romney was more afraid of "four sharp-tongued" women than Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. She said that she thought David Gregory threw Mitt Romney "softball questions" in his recent appearance on "Meet the Press."

"But I think the press could be tougher on both of them, to be honest with you," Vieira responded, adding that she thinks Obama gets "softballs" too.

"Especially with regard, to me, with Afghanistan now," she continued. "I'm furious. I wanna know why we're staying there one day longer and what their game plan is. I don't get it at all."
