The less of them the better. Cabinet members need to start dropping like flies. I guess it would be the only really good use of a pandemic.

Try this on. She belongs to a Apostolic Religious Group located primarily in Hamlin County S.D.. All though there are off shoot groups in South West Minnesota and North West Iowa. And they truly believe their Religion protects them from any type of Illness or Plagues. As well as some other messed up ideas. And about as Racist as they come.

They truly believe in Herd Immunity and we know how that worked in Sweden. I have had to stop communicating with our Family members living in that area, talk about messed up. And the local AM radio stations are pumping this crap.

believing that Gawd is protecting them from illness and plague?

Oh, that's right.

Religious people, by definition, come to their conclusions in utterly nonsensical ways.

As mentioned,in that call a couple weeks back, the story that is traveling in that area is,remember when we were kids, and we had to go to school during the Measles and Chicken Pox out break in the forties. Had to correct that person. The County Nurse shut our school down for more that a week and we stayed home and were issued assignments as well as our Teachers check by phone a couple times.

Oh,forgot about that. Well,we had to go to school during the Scarlet Fever out break,no we did not,we were quarantined at home because the person attended out Saturday Church School and all of us who belonged were locked down for ten days. And that Girl was in my Class and she had her life shortened by the Fever and it's side effects of Heart Damage.

My three-year-old sister had been diagnosed with scarlet fever and we were quarantined. My father couldn't come home, groceries were delivered and left on the back porch. I feel for my poor mother, left alone with a restless six-year-old, a sick three-year-old and a new baby. No TV then. I don't remember whether we had a radio, think we probably didn't. Nobody could figure out where the scarlet fever came from, think the consensus was that it came from a letter from California.

the suspected source was newly arrived Displaced Persons from Eourpe. As mentioned,my Class Mate's Family was on lock down with Groceries delivered by the County Sherriff and the our Rural Mail Carrier. Do remember Clothing being burned, but do remember it was the dead of Winter with temps in the minus tens and teens. Do remember every thing had to be Washed and hung outside to freeze dry. We lived a mile plus from town,,so we were pretty much isolated.

Swarms of bikers from everywhere are now heading to Sturgis, possibly leaving a trail of Covid-19 in their wake. Do they all practice social distancing and wear masks? Ha. Fat chance. The Sturgis/Rapid City area will be a hotbed for the virus. If I lived there and had school-age kids, no way would I let them go to school.
