I am looking for true reasons and not snide jokes.
I am sure one is that Trump is being blackmailed by Russia and maybe additional countries as well.
Are any other thoughts?

(1,154 posts)In our sub conscience there is an insatiable desire for conflict. People with his kind of psychosis hone in on that desire and it's katie bar the damn door.

Whether it is a conscious decision or not, he is truly an evil person who has no compassion or desire for democracy.

You give him way to much credit IMO.

Moscow Mitch is at the top of the list, followed by all the silent and complacent ones.
Totally. But he's the one who gets most of the MSM attention.

(58,785 posts)Big no to giving aid to the enemy. And they ARE very dangerous enemies who would never have succeeded as well as they have without weenie-ism and other useful idiocy on our side. We're the MAJORITY, for god's sake.
We need to make good trouble, not good victims.

I still understand the reaction.
I don't share it, but I understand it.

(65,021 posts)...you & I know that it's not destruction, and there was no plan, just cosmological incompetence, we're tools of nobody!
Hortensis
(58,785 posts)exclude enormous, in-wired incompetence from any of the power blocs attacking us. My own plan, echoing those who actually have the power to make it happen, is to take them down so definitively that the entire planet realizes they all over-reached badly when they took us on.

(1,002 posts)wants to turn America into Putin-style kleptocracy, where you have a small group of oligarchs controlling all facets of "government", toss a big percentage to the mobster-in-chief (pay to play), and leave the rest of America to scrounge for survival. That's why they want to get rid of Obama care, Medicare and Social Security, so that Americans are left to fight for survival using its guns in a sort of mass Social Darwinism experiment.

(15,805 posts)the destruction of the whole country. He just reacts impulsively as every new situation arises and does whatever he imagines makes him look good. There is no logic to anything he does, as noted in the frequency that he contradicts himself from day to day.
He has declared war on Democrats, and since they are the only bastion of defense of our tattered democracy, it should not come as a surprise that his actions have weakened our country by destroying the vital functions of a working government.
We are on the verge of becoming a failed state, not because Trump actually intended that, but because he was enabled and encouraged by shortsighted people like him who only have their own narrow, selfish self interests in mind.
