(17,651 posts)At least they look fake or they are a very, very weak 'script.
I'm trying to give a fair trial but so far, not liking it much.

(725 posts)I haven't figured out if it's attempted pseudo-sexy or to make her look intelligent.
Whichever............. IT AIN'T WORKING.

(128,921 posts)apparently not mine.
But I will not begrudge those who may get into them. I do actually like Krystal Ball.

(1,828 posts)I was shocked, because I expected someone with a name like Krystal Ball (really, parents? Really?) to be kind of daffy. But I like her. She was on Lawrence the other night, too, and while it was difficult to get a word in edgewise with Lawrence and Fineman yakking away, she managed to get some good stuff in there.
But yea. That S.E. Cupp person is an idiot.

(396 posts)but not to the extent of se cupp or toure, who I don't know why is now a politica analyst. He used to be a VJ on Fuse. i'm in their 'young' demographic...i'm watching and not impressed

(4,252 posts)give their opinion.....I am in retirement so I just may not "get" them, although I find I like Kornacki and Ball.

(135,425 posts)I've tried three to five times to endure that program. It's like nails on a chalkboard.
The "cast" is insufferable.

(18,048 posts)I don't actively dislike her, I guess is what I should say.
Steve Kornacki I like too. He's my favorite of the four.
Toure and Krystal Ball = nowheresville to me. They could be anyone else, nothing special about them. They're competent enough, but ...meh.
Having all four of them there makes no sense because none of their personalities are dynamic enough to contrast well. There aren't four distinct personalities there. It's a lame attempt to replicate The View, but with "young" political/newsy people. None of them makes me go "OMG wait til I see what he/she has to say about this!"
Which is I guess why they don't have their own individual shows...
I'm in my 30s so they're all about my age, and ...meh.

(49 posts)The other three look like its all they can do to keep themselves from reaching across the table and punching that moron, SE Cupp, in the piehole. She never shuts up.

(31,011 posts)She will parrot some RW talking point and they are easy on her. Steve...I like him. Krystal and the other guy (I keep forgetting his name) are okay. I can take them or leave them.

(22,871 posts)Even if she was liberal I couldn't watch her,all I hear when I try, is her gasping for breath. Could that be a medical condition or is it just me that notices that?

(50,327 posts)but, I still would rather it than the horrid show it replaced, the Dylan Ratigan show, seeing as MSNBC didn't see fit to do the smart thing and simply extend Martin Bashir's show to two hours.

(396 posts)he talked about real issues
Spazito
(50,327 posts)his temper tantrums on the show, the disrespect he showed to his guests, his oversized ego, together it made for a horrid show to me.

(25,415 posts)I am in my thirties so I guess this show should appeal to me. I really like Krystal Ball. She has some strong views on women's rights.
SE Cupp grates on my nerves. I don't get how a 33 year old woman can believe in half the crap she does.
Kornacki is the smarter one of the group. Toure is merely okay, kind of boring. And he was a VJ, hard to take seriously.
If the show was just Ball and Kornacki I would enjoy it much more.
I actually prefer Rachel Maddow to all of them. Now that is how an intelligent Gen Xer acts.

(4,840 posts)i find Krystal Ball's commentaries sharp and up to par with other msnbc hosts, especially when she is a guest commentator outside the format of the cycle. i'm not ready to fault them all personally. they - Krystal, Tour'e and Steve - are aware of what's going on in politics. i think it's the format of the show - trying to keep it friendly and less argumentative - that restrains them from digging deeper on the issues. i think the show serves it's purpose at msnbc. it eases you into the hard political shows that start with Martin Bashir and chris Matthews. you can't have hard nose politics all the time. The idea of running any television network is not to just cater to one demographic or level of political intelligence....and I don't mean that last as a slam.

(5,810 posts)Once she gets started, it's hard to stop her. And she really, really loves the sound of her own voice. Sometimes she displays that she is smart but then other times she is just a parrot of the Right Wing Talking Points. And she is kind of condescending, too. Not a nice combo for a rather new show. She says she is atheist and studied religion in college. So go figure. She also claims she is still searching for answers about the BIG STUFF.
The others are OK. Krystal Ball must work just about ALL day because I see her on shows from morning until night. I like her. She has run for office (was defeated) so she has some working knowledge of what that is like. Plus, she is just likable.
Don't know if the show will last but it's obvious who their demographic is and I am not in it. LOL
