Irony is not dead. Consider . . . . . .

. . . . . how much Il Dunce hates Jeff Bezos. Consider how much Bezos' Amazon has returned obscene profits resulting directly from a business spike caused by Trump's totally being responsible for the explosive growth of the Corona virus. That made the home delivery business model of Bezos' company the exact right thing for this environment.

This is the AntiTrump Irony. What Trump touches dies. What Trump opposes thrives.

Edited to add: Do NOT interpret this as a positive post about Bezos. That is NOT the thread's intent.

twenty bucks an hour* with fully covered health, dental, and vision care and still be enormously rich.

How much do these people think they need?

*ETA: Or more than that...just the first number I pulled out of my, um hat.

It took me a while to realize that. But people like that aren't satisfied while others still have something. Some might just be fulfilled by having "the most", but republicons genuinely want everything and won't stop until other have nothing left to take.

Narrator: This is the unemployment rate during the COVID-19 pandemic. And this is Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos' net worth during that same time span. From March to June 2020, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos saw his wealth rise by an estimated $48 billion. The founder of the video-conferencing platform Zoom grew his nest egg by over $2.5 billion, and former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer's net worth increased by $15.7 billion.
