Who do you want Joe Biden to pick for VP?

I'm split between Duckworth, Whitmer and Bass. I guess I'm leaning Whitmer based on the fact she has had governing experience.

I want Kamala for USAG!

And if Rice isn't VP, I think she'd be a great SoS choice.

Though Sally Yates would be a nice option there too.

Not smart to have an all-white ticket of two septuagenarians when we are the party of diversity. We need someone younger also and preferably a woman of color in this time of racial strife.

She's very progressive on gun-control, which may not be a good fit this year especially. She even supported the ill-fitted San Francisco Proposition H, a 2005 law that was struck down as unconstitutional.

Kamala Harris is far more suitable to be VP, as is Val Demings, Elizabeth Warren etc.

I really don't want another person with no political experience. Susan Rice would be fine for Secretary of State.

Why exactly are you so obsessed with her, since she has no elected political experience?

SHE HAS NEVER RUN FOR POLITICAL OFFICE. WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHY SHE IS NOT SUITABLE TO RUN FOR VP WITH BIDEN?

She is superb. Do not get me wrong on that. But she needs to have GOVERNING experience, and she does not have that. There is nothing strange about this.

What I do find strange is the number of folks of DU with an obsession to nominate a person with no elected experience. You happen to have a high post count, but MANY who support Susan Rice do not.

With respect to all, I like Susan Rice...I personally do not see her as one step away from being President. I do see that for Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Val Demings, to name a few.

The major attacks coming for Biden will be Foreign policy. The Barr dump and all the rest. Rice trips it early and can be left to handle most of it, leaving Biden mostly out of the fire. All of Rice's baggage is shared by Biden. Spread the attacks in August against both instead of in October against one.

and Kavanaugh in those Senate hearing, she had both of them sweating bullets. She will go after trump's silly statements which will make the news and make him seen even stupider. Just think how she will run circles around trump acolyte/sycophant Pence at the VP debate.

And since you mentioned her baggage, I suppose you never heard of a little thing calle Benghazi, re: Rice?
