Right when we thought Secretary of State Jon Husted had finally learned his lesson, he does it again.
Husted keeps swinging for the voter suppression fence, and thanks to thousands of Ohioans like you stepping up to the plate, we've been able to keep striking him out in court. But another swing is coming our way, and we need to make sure that this one doesn't land him and Ohio Republicans a home run.
Don't let Husted game the vote in these last 47 days. Contribute to the Ohio Democratic Party's voter protection efforts today to ensure we don't lose this election due to dirty tricks.
While speaking to a tea party group this week, Husted brazenly suggested that Ohioans have the option to present too many different forms of ID at the polls, and that "we need to streamline" that process. Streamline the process by eliminating forms of ID you can use at the polls?!
Nearly one in four African Americans, and one in ten of those over 65 don't have a valid state issued ID, so it's clear who Husted's plans would hurt the most.

Going even further, Husted brazenly claimed, “I was listening to a show one night about these onerous photo ID rules in Ohio. Well, the photo ID law in Ohio is not onerous. As a matter of fact, I suspect the GA [General Assembly] will take up a more strict version of what we have after this election process.”
In other words, it's not yet hard enough for some to vote in Ohio, so we should make it harder?
