The millions who don’t have a job due to covid were already not going to be paying payroll taxes.

How the fuck does this help them?

1. I'm not sure it helps anyone, especially if it has to be paid back. But, if

it doesn’t and employees get the money in their checks, it’s a 6.5% or so boost for the 80+% still employed as some form of shortsighted stimulus. And it’s less operating expenses for companies, again assuming it doesn’t have to be paid back. If it does have to be paid later, gonna be a bunch of defaults.

The $300 — or $400 if states have their $100 — a week is definitely a help to people who were getting nothing other than state unemployment while Congress “negotiated.”

2. The goal is not to help anyone.

It is to make trDump look good short term. Stop the deduction from workers payroll so it gives a boost to their take home pay. They will think trDump was a big help and maybe vote for him.

Come April 15, 2021 the deferred tax now comes due for the tax payer when they file their IRS tax return.

If Biden wins the election the Rethugs will just blame him for the 4/15/2021 deferred taxes now due. Fux Nuz will drive that point home although Biden had nothing to do with it , it was trDump's brain child.

If trDump wins the election he says he will forgive the deferred tax due 4/2021. Hoping to pick up more voter brownie points.

TrDump's goal is to bankrupt and trash the Social Security Program. Messing with the Social Security payroll deduction is part of this secret agenda to destabilize Social Security, make it insolvent, and hamper permanently its continued existence.
