Although many of you hate Facebook, I am happy to say that they have posted ads for almost all of the "red-to-blue" black congressional candidates in https://www.marquitabradshaw.com/my feed. And I want to share that information with you. Campaign ads, Websites. Here is the two black Senate candidate that I know about, and the six black congressional candidates, 5 to flip red to blue, and also Cori Bush, who knocked out Lacy Clay in Missouri.
People say that the CBC doesn't get anything done. But many people don't know what an uphill battle it is to get anything that black people need through Congress. It turns out that the things that black people need conflict with the special interests and lobbyists who influence so many of our Congresscritters. So, unless the CBC can slip a little something for us into a bill, we usually don't get what we need. What is the solution? It's two-fold. More people of color, and more sympathetic white congresscritters who are not owned by special interests.
At any rate, here are our new candidates. Consider learning more about them. Consider supporting them.

(54,378 posts)Harrison because I knew any challenger to Leningrad Lindsey would need an early boost, and Jackie Gordon because she called me and we spoke for half an hour about issues that were important to me. To be honest, I didnt even know Jackie Gordon was black until Emilys List sent me her picture months later. That is the last issue that interests me in a candidate, so I never asked. I was impressed by the voice on the phone, not her pigmentation.
