on the second syllable of her name. He really should know better.
Who knows if it's because of ignorance or doing what he does but if he keeps it up, I propose Donald be pronounced the same way: duhNALD.

In The first debate when trump refuses to refer to Biden as VP Biden, which you know he will, Joe should start calling trump Donny. Word is that makes him irate.

(14,966 posts)By introducing multiple pronunciations into the conversation, one makes the subject appear exotic/unusual/abnormal/non-normative. "After all, if the subject were normal, everyone would know how to pronounce it, amirite?"
There are more examples of this than I can count. For a contemporary example, Alex Jones purposely mispronounces hijab as "hajib" during his anti-Islam/anti-Muslim rants. I claim it is purposeful in that case because he's been doing it for years.
And I claim Trump is doing it on purpose because Harris is constantly on TV, and constantly spoken about on TV, so it is not possible Trump hasn't heard her name spoken by people who know her well enough to say it correctly.
