Joe Biden’s Speech Most Watched Of The Convention

Joe Biden’s Speech Most Watched Of The Convention

Vice President Joe Biden's Democratic National Convention speech was the most-watched address of the event, according to Nielsen's ratings. The New York Daily News reports:

Specifically, Nielsen figures show Biden was watched by 14.7% of the 289.7 million people who live in U.S. television homes.

That's about 43.6 million people.

President Obama was second with 13.7%, or about 39.7 million.

Republican nominee Mitt Romney was third with 12.5%, or 36.2 million.

While this isn't about whether or not the speech was well-received, the fact that more people tuned in to watch Biden is fascinating.

On the east coast some of the last speeches were pushing out to past 10:30. Joe's was on a little bit earlier. Plus, Joe is real and down to earth and well loved by Democrats. He gave a great speech.

I don't remember the times but I had to watch the Presidents speech the next morning as I went to bed after Joe. I slept good feeling that our country was and is in good hands with Obama and Biden at the helm.
