It's such a breath of fresh air to hear people talk about the country with a genuine sense of pride and love, about our possibilities but the hard work ahead. These are two politicians who will have one another's back. And also have ours as we struggle through the mess Trump and his enablers have created.

I think the stress of the last 3+ years has been incredible. A lot of worry about the future of the country, our own well-being and that of our kids and loved ones. I think yesterday was a moment of pure relief and hope. And historic.

That being said, the sheer excitement of a Biden/Harris ticket was pretty good, too.

They're just long time good government people who are trying to do their best for the common good. As level-headed and as serious minded as they are, I doubt they know how important they are to ordinary working people. They're not in it for adulation. They're in it to do what's right for Americans and democracy.
