Majority in poll say US coronavirus response worse than other countries

Most Americans say they think the U.S. response to the coronavirus pandemic has been worse than other countries, according to a Monmouth University survey released Thursday.

Fifty-two percent of respondents said that they thought the United States' handling of the disease was worse than other countries, while 15 percent said the U.S. has done a better job. Another 29 percent said it is doing about the same.

Fewer than 40 percent of respondents said that they believe the U.S. will be able to limit the impact of the outbreak over the next few weeks.

That is about the same share of people as in June, while 50 percent in May said they thought the U.S. could limit the outbreak within a few weeks and 62 percent said the same in March.

Agreed, but it will all of a sudden matter to them when there's a Democrat in the White House. Doodley Aug 2020 #8

What is wrong with 44% of this country regarding this virus and the response by this incompetent administration.

Over 5.2 million cases and over 169k deaths according to Worldometer

Would Fox News carry it?

Would AM talk radio start attacking those Democrats?

It hasn't hit close to home for almost every American. The concept of 162K people dead is meaningless to them. What efforts were taken to try to prevent their deaths are lost on the ignorant, selfish and apathetic.

I have written this before, it will not matter to those 44% until we are stacking bodies on the curb for pick up. If that comes to pass it will of course be too late.

This is the same ignorance and stupidity the right has about climate change, pollution, over fishing.

TrDumpie is counting on a miracle to magically happen and the virus will just go away. trDump does not rely on scientific evidence and mitigation strategies. He is bored of Covid-19. His wishful thinking and happy talk, he thinks, will make the Covid cooties vanish and all will return to normal.

If he needs to lie, fabricate, fudge the infected and death count numbers,... it is just what it is,.. and that is the prerogative of the pResident to mislead and bare faced lie.

To him the truth is like an elastic band. It is made to stretch, pull, tug, bend, and snap in any direction he finds desirable. Just as long as it serves his agendas and needs to make himself look good.
