As a principal that had 2 buildings that were also poling sites, I wanted my buildings CLOSED - either ELECTIONS or SCHOOL - but not BOTH at the same time.
After all of the school shootings and problems about school security, how could we open the buildings for one day (two days really, primary and November) to ANYBODY that had the right to vote? What an idiotic plan: Yes, secure the schools so we don't have another Sandy Hook, BUT, OPEN IT WIDE for elections!

To be clear:
WE SHOULD WANT kids in school - when we have a HEALTH program to keep them and the entire school program safe from COVID-19.
WE MUST have MANY voting places open - places that the voters may go and utilize their constitutional right to take part in the governing of the United States of America.

School was out for that day so people could vote. Turns out, someone still had the keys and voting went on as planned.
