(6,251 posts)That song is one of the most persistent earworms ever written! Just reading the name of the song has started it playing in my brain and it will be there for days.
(That said, its earworm qualities are what made that such an effective commercial.)

I saw it when I was a teenager, it impressed me quite a lot. Gilda Radner is in it too.
Maybe this can replace the real version playing in people's heads!

They're working on the assumption that American was NOT "great" before trump was elected. It WAS, but it's eons worse than before he took office.

Is it just another lie with a fake label?

SkyDaddy7
(6,045 posts)But I think that picture may be misleading. I remember when this came up before & it was revealed the Trump campaign hats were made in USA while 3rd party MAGA hats were made in China.

(6,045 posts)...I just cringe when WE start to act & look like the RIGHT whether on purpose or completely by mistake. We certainly don't have to fudge even a decimal point of evidence to know we sit firmly on the correct side of history...IMHO.
...And, right, that Orange Idiot has all his clothes made in China & other countries than the USA...Why not the MAGA hat! Easy mistake.

Still, "made in China" is over the line.

(5,269 posts)Complicated in that the official hats that sell for $25 to $30 are made in California while the knock-off Chinese made hats are sold for about $6 but investigators determined that fabrics used in some of the US made official hats did not match the US made fabric that the US company claimed they used. In other words, investigators concluded that at least some official hats appear to contain some imported fabric which is supposed to be disclosed on label but US manufacturer claims they use just US made fabric.
George II
(67,782 posts)....from China and finished the hats in the USA.
According to the government agency that oversees things like this, they can't say "Made in the USA". I've never seen an actual hat, would probably gag if I had one in my hand, but I'm sure they don't have a label like Biden's label in it.
And I would bet trump's billions that they're not finished in a union shop.
