(17,671 posts)To be frank, neither Biden, nor Harris were my first picks but I am on board that blue train and buckled in for the trip without reservation.
I do not believe that American election to date has ever had as much riding on the outcome as this one. Trump, and his support system must go. Our Representational Democracy will not survive four more years.
I believe that Biden and Harris are a damn good team and that together they will set about on the hard task of repairing the damage Trump has done to the country that I love.

(11,665 posts)To put it in perspective, I think of being on an airplane. The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. "Can I interest you in the chicken?" she asks. "Or would you prefer the platter of shit with bits of broken glass in it? To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken is cooked.

(3,321 posts)I would love to see her as POTUS, 2024 or 2028 (depending on if Joe Biden chooses to run for a second term). So, 2024 to 2032, or 2028 to 2036.
After that, I would love to see Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as POTUS. Eight more years, yeah. More progressives to follow.
Please keep them coming.

(6,940 posts)of "The Squad" won their primaries. (I can't imagine why they were primaried, frankly.)
Statistically if an incumbent is re-elected once, it becomes very difficult to unseat them. Let's hope that holds true.
And I gather there may be some potential Squad members in the new freshman House class.

(2,113 posts)Disappointed that he picked Kamala. Don't care for her. But it doesn't matter. The stakes are too high in this election. Vote blue no matter who.
