Geographic distribution of DU

Always fascinated to know where DUers come from. And I apologize in advance for some of the regional groupings -- I know they're not perfect and there will be quibbles. But there are only 10 lines available on s survey.

certainly don't belong with the Northeast.

Honestly, states don't work well as geographic ranges, most are in many different ones.

Not knowing its source, but curious about that, just one state stands out to me as being “out of place,” so to speak. I think that LA has more in common with ArkLaTex than with the Deep South (principally because LA is heavily reliant on the petrochemical industry in a way that the rest of the Deep South is not).

Either way, interesting poll.

I should say I was living in Northern LA County when I joined DU, back in the Dark Ages, before there were even people.
