It would be a good idea if USPS didn't clearly lack capacity to handle this many mail ballots and there weren't an active effort by TPTB to keep it that way. But in light of the warnings from USPS that it won't be able to meet the deadlines in 46 states as it is, why on earth is a solidly Democratic state like New Jersey taking actions to further increase the load that USPS has to deal with? An increase in mail ballots in South Jersey could put further strain on the already overwhelmed mail service in Philadelphia, which I know from experience was terrible even before COVID. And as much as I believe in everyone's right to vote, we need the votes in Philadelphia more.
