At a college in North Georgia, maskless students packed bars and house parties. At Oklahoma State one sorority had 23 women test positive. At Alabama maskless students also packed bars and other parties.

Opening could work if students would show some discipline and wear masks when close to each other, but unfortunately too many won’t do that. I saw a news picture of some college women walking from an event, most were masked though most were not wearing them properly, but in front was a woman who was clearly defying mask mandates and right beside her was a woman that had her mask pulled down to below her chin.

College is one of the great markers in the lives of people that go, it is sad that young men and women have to do things that I didn’t have to do while in college, but the test of all of us is how well we deal with the things that we HAVE to deal with, for example HIV was (it still is) a massive threat to young men and women when I was young, we listened to how to protect ourselves.
