Just watched Michelle's convention speech
I had my credit card and phone at-the-ready two minutes in – because whatever she was selling, I was more than ready to buy.
Had the whole thing ended up being an infomercial for 'Michelle’s Own' Soaps & Body Washes, I’d be soaking in a tub of them right now.
That woman is AMAZING!!!
While her speech was about the difference between Trump's America and our America, what also came through was the difference between a First Lady who is intelligent enough, motivated enough, and caring enough to be an asset to her husband's presidency - as opposed to a First Lady who sees her position as an endless array of fashion-conscious photo ops.
For me, the contrast was startling. It demonstrated the need for powerful women who take their positions - whatever those positions might be - seriously. And it drove home the fact that in the world of the GOP, a clueless airhead like Melania is considered the model woman: uninformed, uninterested, and willing to keep her mouth shut while smiling into the camera.
