Officials Apologize For Arresting Black Reporter During White Supremacist Rally (MI)

Kalamazoo, Michigan city officials are apologizing after arresting reporter Samuel Robinson on Saturday (August 15), while he was covering a white supremacist rally.

Robinson, who works for MLive, was reporting from a Proud Boys rally and its counterprotest and posted updates on his social media throughout the day. In a video taken by Robinson, he could be heard telling officers several times that he was a member of the media and was arrested with his identification lanyard around his neck.

...the Proud Boys*, which are neither, incite violence when cops aren't around and act nonchalant and innocent when they are. In fact, there is video of Denver AND Portland Cops telling some Proud Boys* to cool it when the cops are around, because the cops don't want to arrest them. The crocked, racist cops consider the Boys* their allies.

6. Lots of cops hate the media.

Plenty of them blame the media for their current PR problems and the public scrutiny they are receiving. If the media never reported about police corruption, misconduct, and abuse of citizens, why, the police wouldn't have any of these problems.

8. Definitely two very different law enforcement standards

Some guy in Portland got a beatdown over the weekend after he ran his truck through a group of demonstrators downtown. The police are actively looking for suspects, as well they should. Meanwhile, in another part of town, a flotilla of Trump supporters ran their boats up the Willamette River, creating huge wakes that swamped a boat that wasn't part of their demonstration. Luckily, everyone on the swamped boat made it back to shore. Not a peep from law enforcement about identifying any of the Trump-supporting boaters and holding them accountable.
