Fox didn't seem to like the convention last night, so it must have been good. (Original Post) GreenPartyVoter Aug 2020 OP

...coverage. I was texting my sister in law and i accidentally sent a text about one of the speakers to my trumper friend...whoopsie. She said she wasnt watching it as shes tired of hearing 'lies'.

So there ya go...their small world of trickery and lies. She also just flew to vegas to gamble.

I did see where Fox pulled away from trump's speech. I too fell asleep, but so glad it's repeated. Hearing Michelle made me all the more sad thinking of how far we have fallen. How will we ever breach the hate gap that has taken over our country?

And when I say "praise", I mean giving her credit for giving a good one regardless of what trump thought about it

Given the challenges posed by a virtual convention, it was interesting and active. I especially liked the opening where young people of every color sang the Star Spangled Banner. It was a good contrast to the mostly lily white Republican Party.

Bernie gave a good speech, and I really appreciated his ending where he called on his supporters to vote for Biden.

There were several scenes and references throughout to the virus and the number of dead. Some scenes honored healthcare workers.

Michelle Obama did a bang-up job as well with her closing speech. All in all, it was good. I watched on MSNBC, and they did a good job of keeping their commentary to a minimum until it was over.

And I watched it on the Washington Post livestream so there was no commentary.

I don’t have a tv or a station streaming service and not the fastest WiFi, so I feel lucky to have been able to watch it at all.

They, being a non-partisan public service, aren’t really allowed to “like” the convention, but they had Mark Shields on for commentary, and he liked it. That’s a good enough endorsement for me.
