NEW YORK New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has gained a national following through his management of the coronavirus pandemic, is writing a book that looks back on his experiences, and includes leadership advice and a close look at his relationship with the administration of President Donald Trump.
Crown announced Tuesday that Cuomo's American Crisis will be released Oct. 13, three weeks before Election Day, when Trump is expected to face presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden. The news comes the day after Cuomo addressed the Democratic National Convention and called the virus' spread a metaphor for a country weakened by division. New York State has one of the lowest infection rates in the U.S., a welcome contrast to the spring, when it had one of the highest.
More at link. Little October surprise? Apologies if this is old news. I've not seen posts about this.

And who was behind the "bombshell allegations" referenced by Greenwald? Interesting that Glenn linked to a secondary source, NY Magazine,
Who was the primary source? David Sirota, of course.

(18,277 posts)He's a wonderful governor. Even before his gold standard covid response, he had secured the following for New Yorkers:
- $15/hr minimum wage
- tuition-free state university and community college
- gender pay parity
- the most liberal paid family leave guarantees in the nation
- the codification of Roe v Wade into state statutory law
I do know about about "all that" because I spent a good part of the summer of 2018 putting out fires.
I only mention it now because forewarned is forearmed.
People need to be careful if and when Greenwald and Sirota start this kind of nonsense against Biden-Harris once the general election season starts.

Cuomo is awesome for sure!!! It must have been exciting working on his campaign & it is because of dedicated persons like you that NY had his tremendous leadership through the deadly tRump virus this spring and ongoing.

(12,431 posts)And the cashier rang up my $9.99 purchase and said, "That'll be $10.69. Governor Cuomo has to take his cut." I felt like responding that a portion goes to the Republican-controlled county but all I said was, "He's worth it!" I wanted to go on about what a good job he's been doing with the pandemic but I think she caught my point and mumbled something like "I suppose so."
