Not for nothing, but the Senate Counterintelligence report discusses Konstantin Rykov.

I have been aware of Rykov since stumbling across his Facebook "confession" in July 2017. Here's my original DU post on him:

In the time that followed, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out who he was, and recorded everything in a five part post that starts here:

Interesting that the Senate report definitely doesn't undersell Rykov. It does cast doubt on his claim that Donald Trump actually direct messaged him on Twitter on Election Day 2012, but that was always a stretch in the first place. However, even though he might not have been in direct contact with Trump that day, his tweets still show Trump was still very much on his mind for some weird reason.

Well, that makes me feel a little less crazy, at least.

I think you have a good eye, while you were noticing red flags some were wearing them as blindfolds.

The amount of information is staggering, and all the different names are hard to keep straight. Must take a lot of diligence to stay focused and not be lead all over the world with the various connections. Good on you!

edit to add, wonder who Donald Fredovich is? He's speaking about Trump, but Fredovich?

One’s first name followed by his father’s name plus “ovich”, which I presume means “son of.”

So as Donald is the son of Fred Trump, he’d be Donald Fredovich.

thanks! I have difficulty with reading comprehension when it comes to Russian names. If I can't sound it out, it doesn't stick. Good to know about "ovich"...maybe it'll help.

Bravo. That was a gripping, upsetting, eye-opening read. It'll take a while to digest it all, but thank you for doing all that work and for linking back to it. WOW.

Like I said, I think he intentionally embellishes some things, as he is the protege of Putin’s right hand man Vladislav Surkov who operates under a “post-truth” MO.

But a lot of things he has said can actually be documented and verified.
