Such hypocrites. They get all up in arms over wearing a simple mask to keep others and themselves safe, but they have no problem telling you how to live your life. Like I said hypocrites.

(7,218 posts)Ive collected these for years!! Always from the aggrieved Reich-wingers. And this is one of several others I have received in just the past week.
Wonder why they are coming around again?
No I dont. Its close to an election. Just as the other ones I got, all during an election year to rile up the bigots and imbeciles that make up the base.
(Love the response to this one.)

(75 posts)They must exaggerate to the point of bullshit to make their point.
I was fine with gays until you started shoving it down my throat.......Since shoving it down my throat is not meant literally, what do you really mean.....? Oh, you mean youre fine with it as long as you dont see it hear it or read about it....? LOL
What a bunch of assholes.

(9,895 posts)The "it" being "shoved down their throat" is a gay penis. I won't speculate on the size or description of said penis, just that it is what they see in their mind's eye...
And in the the domineering, uber-butch, having-a-homosexual-crisis-but-can't-admit-it, wide-stance-having, meth-consuming-prostitute-banging world of the right wing's loudest gay-marriage critics and anti-gay rights avengers...they WANT that penis, but they also want to remain on the side that gets to persecute the "other".
There is no secret code with them, it is ALWAYS literal.
They want that beautiful gay penis, they just don't want to admit it...because if they did not want it, they would use a different meme to describe it.

(6,890 posts)Oh, really? Isn't that a wedding ring you're wearing? You're married, have kids - do you have photos of them on your desk at work?
I realize that's rather hackneyed now (though some people are so backward it can still work), and I want no credit for starting it, because I'm sure i didn't. But I do want credit for thinking of it - and using it - back in the 1980's before it was a standard response,

(2,809 posts)Aside from the Freudian interpretation which someone else succinctly addressed above, such an accusation also includes the likes of someone sharing a heartfelt photo or moment with their pictured loved ones. That garnered the exact complaint of "shoving GAY down the throat" of a colleague in the 1990's after I shared vacation photos. That difference of my pictured partner being another male in the photos, scenic backdrops, our fur baby, none of them even pictured an embrace or other "public display of affection" to be misconstrued. It was only because I had a homophobic boss at the time who eventually succeeded in harassing me out the door that such a complaint even registered a serious "call to the bosses office". Funny part was, when I mentioned this was exactly what every member of our department did, just a voluntary photo album available to browse in our shared space, compared to many others who shared far more racy swimwear and kissing, affectionate photos by the cruise ship pool and so on didn't even make a blip on anyone's radar because they were straight couples.
I'm contracted at a place where I'm certain I'd hear some complaint of the same ilk. Yes, that backwards a rural area I'll be glad to leave in my rear view mirror soon.
Gee, it's so easy to trigger the RWNJ's.
