In one video, the mailman from the show 'Cheers,' actor John Ratzenberger, suggests getting Christmas shopping done early, at your local post office's store.

As issues pile up for the U.S. Postal Service's new leader, many are looking to find ways to support the mail service. The USPS, an independent agency which survives in part by the sale of services and products like stamps, doesn't received tax dollars.

Mail is piling up in warehouses, mail processing machines have been decommissioned and overtime is being cut. In addition, the U.S. Postal Service has warned states that ballots might not arrive on time because of the need for additional funding.

While you would think the post office would only sell items related to shipping, its online store also sells items including mail carrier costumes, tote bags and framed stamps.

with a mounted advertisement on top of their vehicle, to gather up completed ballots and then escort them to the board of election commissioners. Of course have multiple people in each ballot collection vehicle, have an identification number on each vehicle so voter can rapidly ID and confirm that each vehicle is a valid collection point, w/ IDs, etc.

I don't know if this would be a good idea or not, but who knows, perhaps in some cases it would be.

No hand delivery of ballots by anyone allowed in TN.

Some states allow 1 person to be designated to deliver another person's ballot.

Please check state laws!

All that said, this was my 1st thought! I'd drive all day & night to deliver ballots, but I can't even deliver my own, due to TN laws. If you request mail-in ballot, there us nowhere to drop off. Just not allowed.

I was shocked when I read TN law on elections! Absolutely not allowed to hand deliver ballots.

There are, no doubt, states which require USPS postmark as well. When I worked in the legal profession years ago, only the USPS post mark was considered in legal proceeding
