That's a great start. They should follow up with an elderly lady waiting by her mailbox, someone at an ATM discovering their account is zero, another finding out their rent check has bounced... that's where this is headed.

"They haven't voted strongly Dem in a long time" despite the fact Democrats have a long-established track record of being supporters of programs on which seniors rely while Republicans have sought to undermine those same programs for a half century.

So if the cold, black-and-white facts (the voting records) are on Democrats' side, then why would seniors vote against their best interests? It would have to be for less rational reasons: culture wars. Emotional issues built around straw man causes that have little to no actual relevance.

This shows the degree to which the electorate can be easily distracted and manipulated.
