If I were one of Rump's army of mouth breathers, I would be mailing in a shit ton of phony ballots

Flood the post office with them. Let them get cited as voting fraud via;ations, and generally screw up the works, particularly now that it appears they are backing down a little on disabling the postal service.

they would have to be able to make convincing copies of the ballots and the return envelopes, plus have the names of actual registered voters. Easier said than done.

Registrar of Voters have a couple of other built in safeguards against fraudulent ballots.

The orange anus and his posse would know these thing if the just bothered to visit a typical Registrar of Voters office.

Its about chaos and headlines.

Something for President Melania's Mealticket to flap his arms about.

Trumpster Dumpsters, but maybe a super-PAC or (god forbid) Russia, or Eric Prince's gang.

All postal workers should be trained in spotting fraudulent ballots, because ballots are hard to replicate due to the various ID numbers. The ones here in AZ are quite elaborate and "classy" (for want of a better word).

It's not easy to just get ahold of a spare ballot that's not sent or handed directly to you. This notion that it's a simple matter to get a bunch of ballots is pretty ridiculous.

They don't need to be good. They just need to exist.

Headlines and caterwauling will ensue.

Chaos is the intent.

Ours have a small perforated window that covers some of the part that the voter fills out, and it is ripped out at some point (maybe by a machine) when the votes are counted.

Counterfeit ballots should, in theory, be incredibly obvious, with bogus ID and tracking numbers. And they would have to be individualized to districts, because, for example, we're having a Town Council runoff on our ballot.
