Has Tammy Duckworth Delivered A Speech At The Dem Convention Yet?
If not - here's what she should do. She should direct her comments to and talk directly to the current military and the veterans and ask them how they can support Trump as their Commander and Chief given how he's treated them over the last 3 3/4 years. She should make an attempt to carve away their votes and diminish that base support that helped him in 2016. Here are just some of the instances where Trump has already lost some base support of veterans and the current military. She should point out some of the following:
- Using the military to attack American People that were peacefully protesting is just one of those things that Trump did that took him down notches in the eyes of the military.
- Trump not taking on Putin for the 'bounties for American Soldiers' hasn't helped Trump either.
- Firing the commander of that ship that criticized Trump's handling of the Covid outbreak on his ship.
I'm sure that there are many other examples where Trump has lost military support. These to me were the most egregious.
Yesterday Esper was talking about cutting Military Healthcare by $2.2 billion as well - though Trump said he rejected that cut. The problem is I wouldn't trust anything Trump says. He is saying things now that he doesn't mean only to get re-elected. If he does get re-elected - all bets are off and this Military Healthcare cut will probably be dropped back on the table.
The biggest thing she should speak to them about is Trump's intention to cheat and steal the vote in November. These veterans and military took/take an oath to serve and protect our country and they have fought and many have died to maintain our Right To Vote.
She should ask them - How can you vote or support a man that is bent on cheating and taking away American's Right To Vote? This is what you fought for or fight for.
Again - I think Tammy Duckworth should direct her comments right at the veterans and current military and appeal to their patriotism and tell them why they should support Biden versus the criminal and liar Trump.
Right now everything that Trump does or says is done to make it seem like he really cares about the military. We all know that Trump only cares about himself. Trump in these last few months before the November election is trolling for military votes. He's been told that his military support is waning and he will do and say whatever if he thinks he could stop the bleeding of support.
Appeal to their patriotism. Tell them they have fought and many have died to protect the American People's right to vote. Ask them - do they really want to support a cheater and liar who is against everything they as military took the oath for?
