This is not how to do it: a BLM protest (with no black people visible)... demanding White diners

1) In a scene that played out several times Monday, a Black Lives Matter protest that began in Columbia Heights confronted White diners outside D.C. restaurants, chanting “White silence is violence!” and demanding White diners show their solidarity. #DCProtests

2) In Adams Morgan, protesters screamed at Lauren B. Victor for several minutes for refusing to raise her fist with them.
“Are you a Christian?” a female protester demanded.
“Good for you — you stood your ground," Chuck Modiano said sarcastically as the crowd moved on.

3) Modiano, who had been yelling at Victor and moments later identified himself as a citizen journalist who writes for @Deadspin, told Victor he couldn’t understand why she was the only diner in the area who wouldn’t comply. “What was in you, you couldn’t do this?”

4) “I felt I was under attack,” Victor, an urban planner, said, adding that she felt there was something wrong about being coerced to show support.

5) “In the moment, it didn’t feel right,” Victor said, adding that she also could understand their anger. “I wasn’t actually frightened. I didn’t think they’d do anything to me,” she said. “I’m very much with them. I’ve been marching with them for weeks and weeks and weeks."

Coerced to show support - silence is complicity, and similar sentiments. People feel "forced" to agree. If one thing gets Trump elected, it's this. People don't like being forced into "confessions of faith" and people will go out of their way to make people who are pressuring them to believe X or Y pay for those actions.

This video is going to be the entire Trump campaign. Congratulations, dumbasses.

Close crowding is threatening behavior.

I suspect those engaged in it are well aware that is so, and intend to convey menace.

We have a BLM organizer in town who has changed the name to "Black Liberation Movement" and instigates crap like that where they attack elected officials at their homes and call them racist. Needless to say, he's not bringing anyone to his "BLM" movement except the clueless.

We have other BLM organizers who have created a new group, No Justice No Peace, organized with politically engaged people, raised money, and try to bring every sympathetic person into the movement. They're also registering voters, hosting zoom meetings with thought leaders, and helping with storm clean up.

Guess which BLM will have long-term success.
