Just for fun I googled "What is the best way to gaslight a gaslighter"? Quora response:
What is the best way to gaslight a gaslighter (psychopath/sociopath/narcissist)?
If the victim of the gaslighter knows they are being gaslighted, the best was to gaslight the gaslighters can be doing something outrageous and then denying it: Ignoring them - they cannot stand it. It freaks them out. Especially if it is all of a sudden and came from nowhere. But be careful, it can backfire into more mental abuse. When they ask you why you reject any such ideas they had and say that they are imagining things. Putting your own foot down - whatever may be the case, gaslighters gaslight because they enjoy being in control. They enjoy the sadist pleasures of having things their way. When they realize they lose control they panic. They may grow volatile and cause a ruckus. But why not give them a taste of their own medicine of sadism for once? Calling them out on Gaslighting - Call them out. Say that they are mentally abusing you. Be direct and hold eye contact. Walk away after those serious allegations. And when they say they did nothing like that, nod your head and say no, you did. A few days later, when they bring it up, say you didn’t mean it that way and they are trying to victimize themselves in this situation. https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-best-way-to-gaslight-a-gaslighter-psychopath-sociopath-narcissist Suppose any of these strategies could work for tRump & co?

1. Not while he holds the nuclear codes.
Not while we can’t escape him. Even if we did “unsettle” him, he may become unpredictable, panic, and do something very dangerous.
No. The only way to deal with a Cluster B-disordered person is to get away. The only (legal) way we can get away from Donald Trump is to elect Joe Biden in November. -Laelth |

2. I am sure these would work on a one to one basis.
Sadly, dump has enablers who can soothe him and say he is being abused.

5. Somehow I keep thinking that there must be effective strategies throughout the next 60 days
Will Michael Cohen's book and speaking tour help? Will additional leaked audio from Mary Trump help? Will continued ads and other work by TLP help?
Or will all of this add fuel to the fire and just make tRump explode into a rage...? While I agree with all of you about getting him out, I also continue to ponder how to be more effective against such a personality disorder. Is it owning the message? Is it dismantling his lies? Is it just "Joe being Joe"? It goes back to some of the other posts on DU about how to effectively fight when the fight is beyond dirty. We're trying to play chess while they're effectively trying to burn the chess pieces, the chess board and the table. |

6. Gaslight, bully and then play the victim is a classic ploy... High school stuff actually...
conservatives love to play the victim.. In their mind it allows them to retaliate to their perceived injustice..
