There is no 2020 election. That requires two sides playing by mutually agreed-upon rules to play the game. The Democrats are running an election campaign for Joe Biden, the Republicans, on the other hand, are just doing whatever they can to consolidate power and keep Trump in office by whatever means necessary.
Do you know what they are doing? Destroying mail sorting machines and closing mailboxes to slow down or impede voting by mail during COVID-19. They are gutting voting protections. They are making sure there is little or no coordinated federal response to election hacking domestically or abroad.
This is not an issue of Democrats playing checkers while the GOP is playing chess, or even Democrats bringing a knife to a gunfight.
This is Democrats showing up with a bag of dominos and Republicans setting the table on fire so you cant play. This is Democrats sitting down with a controller in hand to play Madden on Playstation and Republicans shutting off the electricity in the house. This is Democrats arriving in the parking lot for a double-dutch competition and instead of showing up, the Republicans call the cops on them for trespassing.

(1,789 posts)Obviously, win one is the election. The second half is winning the game about what game is to be played: real, honestly counted, and full access elections must be and continue to be how we select leadership in this country. Democracy is the game. If we play something else or stand idly by while an end run is being made around the rules, we lose.

(38,601 posts)What do we do when theyre:
Slowing the mail?
Removing polling stations?
Sending thugs to intimidate voters?
Planning to disqualify as many absentee ballots as possible?
Purging voter names?
Moving polling places?
Suing to stop drop boxes as a mail alternative?
Need counters for each of those things and the ones Ive forgotten already.
