if everything he orders gets done, despite the laws? Like deferring SS tax withdrawal. moving money Congress has appropriated around, pardoning criminal friends, using our treasury to fill his bank account, harming peaceful protestors. The list is endless.

(1,692 posts)All the presidents in recent memory would never pull all this shit this asshole does on a regular basis, but then again hes a completely amoral out for himself and fuck everybody else kind a guy, so its not surprising all the shit he pulls with all of his executive orders.

(10,624 posts)Except for a few misguided right-wing businesses (who'll probably end up on the hook for paying it back), the payroll tax cut isn't happening.
Blanket liability protection for employers putting their employees back into harm's way of Covid-19 hasn't happened. It's unclear if he ever really wanted an infrastructure bill, but to the extent that he claimed to, it hasn't happened either.
The capital gains tax holiday he wanted hasn't happened.
The indexing of capital gains taxation hasn't happened (but if he's re-elected, I do expect him to try it).
Stephen Moore is not sitting on the Federal Reserve Board.
His soon to be former address has been changed to "1600 Black Lives Matter Plaza".
Deutche Bank has turned over his financial records to NY authorities.
Don't get me wrong. This asshole aspires to dictatorial power. But he doesn't have it yet.
Mine is he has enough to, and does, do great harm and damage. I think when this is over, some laws and constitutional changes must happen to place certain limits on what presidents can do. I do not agree with Barr's view of the executive. For instance things like telling the CDC to lie and trying to limit what intel tells Congress. Again his movement of money, say from the pentagon to the wall. Further, I'd like some changes on what we have to do regarding protecting family when they travel the world for their financial benefit and we have to foot the tab for security (meals, hotel, travel). I think never again should they be allowed to stay in their own hotels if they are going to charge us exorbitant rates or deals (which I still don't understand) that the SS had to pay a month's rent on a cottage when he wasn't even there.
And there has to be serious enforcement and penalty if the Hatch Act is involved.
