Mitt Romney Says He Feared Getting ‘Fired’

ROCHESTER, N.H. — Mitt Romney attempted his own version of an “I-feel-your-pain” moment at a campaign event in New Hampshire on Sunday, telling a crowd that like so many Americans he too has worried about getting fired.
“I know what its’ like to worry about whether or not you are going to get fired,” Romney said. “There are times when I wondered whether I was going to get a pink slip.”

The former Massachusetts governor, whose net worth is estimated to be in the range of $200 million, did not offer an example of one of those times. He made the comments while explaining how his experience as a business sets himself apart from President Obama.

For most of us the fear is that we will starve as result of the pink slip rather than a fear of bruised ego.

wins.

There is getting fired when you are the bread winner in a family and there are no more jobs.

There is getting fired when you have some savings and investments, but you're 52 years old.

All he said is that he knew what it was like to be fired - he didn't say he knew what it was like when you wouldn't be able to take care of your family or get another job.

He is deficient in empathy no matter what angle he shows the public with his huge satellite mirror on himself.

The results have been disastrously awkward every time.

Like the time he posed with some black people on MLK day and failed in his attempt to give them fist bumps. Then he thought he'd save the situation by singing "who let the dogs out".

Or the time he tried to tell people he was also unemployed. I can't tell if it's a joke or not but either way it's a disaster.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/06/16/romney_jokes_with_unemployed_floridians_im_also_unemployed.html

Or the time he posed with the staff at a restaurant and tried to pretend one of the waitresses pinched his butt.

Someone on his staff should really tell him to quit the lame attempts at affability and stick to business. Trying to be human just showcases how weird the guy is.

It was probably from his time at Bain Capital, when they told him he would be fired if he couldn't figure out a way to get rid of 2500 employees of one of Bain's victims by noon tomorrow.

Poor Mitt!

For those not familiar with the Detroit area, Bloomfield Hills was/is one of the priciest zip codes in the country.

When I was in college our choir stayed the night in that town. We would stay in people's homes, our 40+ member choir usually required around 20 homes. There we stayed in 3, yes 3 homes. One kept all the women (around 30), one kept all but four guys, and the last one kept four guys. I stayed at the four guy place and it was nice but the stories I heard about the other two places had to be seen to be believed.

I was with some high school pals, one of whom had some business with Mitt's older brother, Scott.

All I remember was a really big house on something of a hill with huge, immaculately groomed grounds and Scott's girlfriend, Ronna. I stopped focusing on the property when I saw her. Absolutely stunning! Must have been a youthful hormone thing.

Anyway, I can assure you that Mitt Romney never knew poverty while growing up. NEVER! Not living THERE!
