I'll vote for Romney if he puts in a full, honest day's work in a coal mine.

Dear lurking Romney campaign workers, there's a vote for you here in Michigan if Romney works a full 8 hour shift in a coal mine (and provides video and photographic evidence).

One day off the campaign trail, in a coal mine, gets my vote.

You have my word.

Anyone else have any ideas of Romney could do for votes?

Volunteered to work in a public school in a very poor area for a day. Publicity. How hard could that be? He lasted ONE HOUR.

How long would Romney last in a coal mine? 5 seconds??????

family budget after a parent's job is outsourced to China. He has to decide whether one kid can still play hockey, or whether they both have to drop it; he has to decide whether he's willing to talk with the piano teacher about cheaper lessons or switching to twice a month instead of weekly; he has to find thrift-store jeans to fit the kids; he has to decide whether to fill up the oil tank in October, or maybe put it off until November -- we can all wear sweaters inside -- and get the rattle in the car looked at.

ETA: Actually, I wouldn't like to see him do that, because he would just sit and smirk and pat people on the back and say "I hope it works out for you" while searching the back of the room for people who really matter to him -- the ones who can do something for him -- the way he has his whole life.

I live in West Virginia and have since the late 1970's. When I came here there were nearly 200,000 coal mines in this state. Today there are less than 25,000 of them.

Why don't we let Mitt stay on top and bray like a jackass and let honest to god miners go down and earn an a respectable living instead.

And fail miserably, naturally.

I agree that there's no way he could do the work that most Americans do for a fraction of his wealth.

Romney if he offered to give all his money to the poor and agree to work a minimum wage job for the rest of his life... there is nothing that would give me reason to vote for anyone but President Obama this year

to Bain's outsourcing their jobs. then when he is in front of this audience I want him to explain how they are moochers. I am not saying that would get my vote. Also, they get to throw things without being punished. So, my vote might be moot at that point anyway.
