(14,320 posts)It seems to me that, while Bernie's ideas are good, Joe clearly has his fingers more on the pulse of the country.

(31,625 posts)I wanna talk to anyone who is saying Joe is not progressive enough so I will not vote...anybody here?
this is not a gotcha, to report you for not supporting dems, I just want to know the reason you would send us to our deaths?

(42,862 posts)Biden's campaign and the party gave the Sanders campaign every reasonable consideration and accommodation. Negotiations and compromises were made in good faith. That part is OVER now. Biden doesn't need any former rivals "advising" him how to run his campaign.
This type of backhanded and back-channel "leaked" critique serves no good purpose. It's just something that creates resentment and distrust. It's pulling scabs off of old wounds and pouring salt in. It's a source of negativity. Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.
Surely people have better and more productive things to do with his time than to take cheap shots at Biden from the sidelines. The GOP is already doing enough of that. Why add to it?

(28,049 posts)Why doesn't he go be a thorn in the Republicans' side? We almost all want the same things Bernie wants, but if he can't see that we are grappling with more immediate issues at the moment, he needs to take a hike.
I am looking out the window at a sepia overhang of smoky air. I can't go outside. I am panicked about my young niece and nephew in North Dakota being forced to go to school in person. I haven't seen my family since December. I don't need Bernie effing Sanders to decide now is the time to sow seeds of dissention in the ranks. And with all that, I am better off than a lot of other Americans.

(18,402 posts)Biden has cemented his lead on the backs of traditional Democratic-leaning constituencies, holding a 54-38 edge among women, a 65-23 advantage among voters under 30 and a 59-27 lead among nonwhite voters. But the former vice president is also either narrowing the margin or even leading among demographics that historically favor the GOP, notably trailing by just 5 points among men and leading by 3 points with white voters and by a whopping 12 points among seniors.

(67,782 posts)....Sanders' policies?
Boggles my mind that the guy who got less than 1/3 of the popular vote and less than 1/3 of the delegates is telling the winner how to run his campaign.

(8,160 posts)Hey Bernie we're in the middle of a pandemic.. 194,000 dead...the economy is on life support..35 million people have lost their jobs...food banks are empty and Hitler-lite is in the White House...and Joe isn't progressive enough???...just go away...

(65,265 posts)progressive, I thought Bidens acceptance speech was great and am not worried yet. Also, The Sun sensationalizes a lot. Overall Bernie has been a great Biden supporter and I believe he would make suggestions because he cares.

it is a Washington Post story.
"SENATOR Bernie Sanders' has been expressing concerns over Joe Biden's presidential campaign,
the Washington Post has reported,
and is urging Biden's team to appeal to liberal voters."

(69,919 posts)Will trash the name...he should just stop. He lost and Biden won. Sanders should go home if he can't be helpful and sit on the front porch of his lovely lake home.

Bernie is an independent. I like some of his ideas but his Nina Turner and David Sorata squad just want to see us go up in flames. Bernie hired them for a reason. He lost twice and will never win. Destress for Petes sake Bernie. Your coming up on your heart-attack anniversary.
Joe and Kamala are going to win.
Their coattails will bring us the House and the Senate.
