Why Trump is telling people to vote twice

He thinks if he leads election night, his only chance is to stop the mail-in votes from being counted.
So a few of his voters vote twice. When their mail-in ballots are thrown out (as well as their in person vote), he questions all mail-in voting and moves to stop counting all of them. He loses a few of his voters, but if he can stop the counting of mail-in, he can stay in power.
If it moves to the Trump appointed courts, I don't have faith they will be rule against him

(of course who cares if some of his supporters have to go to jail for this)

is Impeachment. He has engaged in high crimes and misdemeanors since before he took office.

You'll have to talk to Mitch about why it doesn't apply to Trump.

My guess is that he is convinced that returns on Election night will show him ahead in enough states that if he can enforce a declared victory at that point, he's re-elected.

However, a lot of states allow for the counting of mailed in ballots so long as they are postmarked by Election Day, and received by some particular date after. Which means, people mailing ballots that late should care a great deal that the ballots actually get a readable postmark. Which rarely happens these days.
