As a supporter of the state of Israel the Republicants aren't doing them any favors by turning them into a political football. Is there nothing those miscreants won't politicize.

1. I really wish we'd all stop tripping over ourselves to support the state of Israel. There really

isn't a lot to support there. It's a settler-colonial state founded on the partial expulsion of an indigenous population and than maintained through a system of apartheid where one group maintains power through coercion over an entire mass of land (both Israel inside its '67 borders and in the Occupied Territories) and awards civil, political, and social rights to people based on their spatial location and ethnic-racial-national status (talk about Batustans).



This is in addition to the war crimes and human rights abuses that are part of their occupation of the West Bank and Gaza. War crimes which are funded by us. I wish we had a president or presidential candidate that was talking about ending US military end for human rights abuses and war crimes everywhere, not just Israel.

Not that we are much better.
