You're right, and in the 60's & 70's we didn't realize the misogyny.

When it comes to the specific case of Lindsey Graham, I think "Lady G" is a reference to the likely fact that he is a closeted gay man who works very hard AGAINST other LGBT people. At least that's how I take it. I don't take it to be an insult because he's female (he's obviously not) or even feminine or that there is anything wrong with being female or femine. It's just a reminder of yet another way in which he is a hypocritical asshole.

Everything can be construed as offensive to someone. Heck, some are even offended when an entitled white woman is called "Karen." (C'mon... seriously?!?) In this case, however, "Lady G" is poking fun at Lindsey and his enormous hypocrisy. Nothing more.

Lighten up. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

"...but it won't matter because I'll do whatever Donald and Vlad want me to." is how he should have finished that sentence.

He can claim times are different from his original statement and no one will call him on it.

He has no power to fiddle with the Supreme Court anyway, except to refuse to vote on a new selection, so who cares what he has to say anyway. We all know whose ass he kisses.

"Lady G" plays into stereotypes about gay men -- is that what you where going for?
