Ginsburg's passing really broke my wife.Last edited Sat Sep 19, 2020, 10:14 PM - Edit history (3)
She was crying last night. Ginsburg really was her hero. I want to make a donation in Ginsburg's memory to the senate seats most likely to flip. Any suggestions? Progressives, women, or minority candidates would be a bonus but I am a pragmatic guy would prefer seats which are winnable.
UPDATE: Based on suggestions I am going to donate to Harrison Gideon Bullock Greenfield in memory of Ruth Bader Ginsburg in order to try and turn the Senate blue and protect her legacy.

29. Depends on which poll you're looking at
"A recent poll carried out by Quinnipiac University showed McConnell with the support of 49 percent of Kentucky voters compared to just 44 percent backing McGrath. But polling by Bluegrass Data Analytics showed a somewhat closer race, although McConnell still led by 3 percentage points. In that survey, the Republican was supported by 49 percent of Kentucky voters as opposed to 46 percent who backed the Democratic challenger." Per Newsweek, on 9/15.
She can do it. |

49. She's talking about Italy, which is better than ending it
She'd prefer Canada, but they don't take people over 60 unless sponsored by a relative. Unfortunately my sister has some serious health problems and will soon turn 66.
For the most part she's been positive in dealing with her health but Trump has almost driven her to despair, and I hope RBG passing won't push her over the edge. Thank you for caring. |

32. Gross of Alaska. Latest poll has him tied with Sullivan(R)
This race is kind of easy to overlook, but this may be the biggest bang for the buck. Because of the small number of people living in Alaska there are fewer individuals to flip for the seat that counts as much as any other state.

40. FiveThirtyEight.com and the tightest Senate races
FiveThirtyEight.com - https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-election-forecast/senate/
There is a map where you can hover over a state and see the Senate race(s) Scroll down a ways, and there is a table below the map, default is sorted by 538's probability of winning. As of Sept 19, in order of the tightest races (these are probabilities that the indicated party will win (all of the Senate races are listed, I'm just showing the top 4 here) : 9/19: #1 Maine 52% (D), #2 Iowa 59% (R), #3 N.Car 62% (D), #4 Colo 68% (D) . In 3 of the 4, the Dem has best chance to win. The other, Iowa, has horrible sickening Joni Ernst (R) ahead of Theresa Greenfield -- this after being almost tied. Click on any row in this table to see the polls for that race Being from Minnesota, I so want that Iowa puke-wagon out. (Minnesota doesn't have a close Senate race, thankfully, despite two (two!) Cannabis party clowns on the ballot -- yes, two (two!) legalize cannabis parties achieved major party status in Minnesota (the Green Party did not, but I wonder which is more of a spoiler threat). |
