If you read The Atlantic report and heard President Donald Trump announced hell demand they get rid of the ballots, you might be nervous.

Former Assistant Attorney General for Counterterrorism Joshua Geltzer penned a thread with ideas for what folks can do right now if youre starting to panic and look for your passports.
First, Electoral College reps, Members of Congress, governors, & Defense Department leadership can pledge to abide by election results regardless of any single candidates claims otherwise, he explained.
In some states, electors are legally required to comply with the states vote, but that isnt true for all of them. Americans should demand that their state electors pledge to abide by the vote even if the president requests otherwise.

(13,608 posts)All of these "outrageous" stories are just distractions. The media just loves the trump sideshow because it provides them with an endless supply of reality-show "drama" they can publish and, thus, draw clicks/eyeballs/ears. It's outrage porn and people are addicted to it.
Trump plays the media like a fiddle. "OMG!!111! They'll have to drag him out!11!! Mussolini11!!!" Whatever it takes to change the subject from that enormous and growing pile of dead bodies on the white house lawn but still keep the spotlight on trump. DU reflects the impact this has on people.
Just disconnect from the outrage porn industry. Find something productive to do with your time and stop putting yourself through this idiotic exercise of self-flagellation.
