9/28 Daily Dose of Joe

Friends -- see below for today's Dose of Joe.

• Yesterday, Vice President Biden delivered remarks on what President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee means for American’s future, rights, livelihood and their access to affordable and quality health care. Biden urged Americans to vote and let their Senators know that they want to be heard before the Senate votes to confirm a new Justice. And he also urged every Senator to take a step back and do what is right for the country. You can watch his full remarks HERE.

• Kamala Harris will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to deliver remarks on the Supreme Court and what's at stake in this election for the American people, from the Affordable Care Act to other issues affecting their everyday lives. After, Senator Harris will participate in a Sister to Sister meets Shop Talk roundtable to hear directly from Black North Carolinians and highlight the importance of voting to affect change.

• Jill Biden will travel to Madison and Waukesha, Wisconsin. In Madison, Biden will participate in a “Get Out the Vote” event as ballots continue to be mailed to voters across the state and will discuss the numerous ways Wisconsinites can cast their ballot this year, including by mail, at a drop box location, early in-person, or in-person on election day. In Waukesha, she will give remarks on Vice President Biden’s Build Back Better plan to help Wisconsin’s economy recover from the pandemic and discuss his proposals to lower health care costs and protect coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.

• Yesterday, former Pennsylvania Republican Governor Tom Ridge endorsed Joe Biden for President of the United States. In an op-ed in The Philadelphia Inquirer, Governor Ridge wrote, “Joe Biden has the experience and empathy necessary to help us navigate not only the pandemic, but also other issues that have fractured our nation, including social injustice, income inequality, and immigration reform.”

• Superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced his support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in a video yesterday. Johnson cited Biden and Harris’ compassion and heart, as well as their long careers standing with working families.

JOE’S SOCIAL MEDIA TO AMPLIFY

TWITTER

@JoeBiden: The truth is the economy wasn’t working for folks long before these crises hit. It’s why @KamalaHarris and I won’t just build back to the way things were — we’ll build back better. We won’t be satisfied until the economy starts working for everyone.

@JoeBiden: Thank you @TheRock for your support at this critical moment for our nation. You said it best: This election is about earning the respect of the American people. It’s about decency. It’s about electing leaders who tell the truth. Thanks again, DJ. Next time we’re talking cars.

@JoeBiden: Jill, Kamala, Doug, and our families all extend our warmest wishes to all who observe Yom Kippur. May you have an easy and meaningful fast. And may you be sealed in the Book of Life.
