The difference between the 2016 and 2020 yard signs in my town

I live in a conservative rural area in the Midwest which probably is a redundant description. An interesting observation from my vantage point is that in 2016, there were plenty of Trump and Clinton yard signs and of course signs for the local and statewide races as well. This time around, I see plenty of the local candidate yard signs for republicans and democrats but where the Democrats have yard signs for the presidential race, the statewide races, and the local races, the republicans are almost exclusively statewide and local candidate signs and no Trump yard signs.

I have to wonder if the Trump campaign simply isn't investing resources in a state that will go blue no matter what or are republicans afraid to post Trump signs in their yards for fear of all of the boogiemen the Right has scared them with? And I mean BLM, ANTIFA, and the scary Socialists. The farms of course have Trump signs all up down their roads but here in town, Trump signs are all but impossible to find so I know there are signs to be had in my area.

I did have something weird happen today. Someone pulled up in front of my house and took a picture of my yard sign and drove away. My yard sign says; Any Functioning Adult 2020.

1. I'm guessing that they no longer want to publicly

associate with Trump. However they are still likely to be withered and ashen hearted Republicans.

Maybe they seem normal on the outside, but I'm betting they would burn people like me at the stake if they could. That suspicion may colour my impression.

2. Shhhh! Trump doesn't know there are republicans in blue states. His threatening to pull

federal funds from blue states made me wonder about that. He doesn't care much about the popular vote, because he knows he'll probably lose that again anyway. It's stupid to screw supporters anywhere though. Some of those people are donors too. Or were. You might be right. Maybe signs aren't available because he cut the republicans working for him way back in your state.

3. Houses in my neighborhood that have never had political yard signs

In the 15 years we have lived here...have Biden signs. A guy with really foul-language 45 signs, took them down this week.

4. Interesting

I find yard signs to be a very accurate method of polling. Around here I am seeing very few signs of any type in this blue island in a red state.

5. I'm afraid that all of the Trump signs

have been sold to Trumpsters in western Pennsylvania. My Gawd, they even have trailers at gas stations selling signs and flags just like you would see for fireworks leading into the 4th of July!

The polls showing Biden leading here in PA truly do surprise me based on the signs I see when on the road.

It REALLY is important that we GET OUT THE VOTE, especially here in PA!!!!
