Billo The Clown Calms The Troops

Once again, Faux News was on at the gym tonight (with the sound off, so I was only able to piece this together based on what was written on the screen), and Bill O'Really? started off his little cavalcade o' crap hour with some discussion of the latest polls. What have I learned from all this? That the Republicans have NOTHING to worry about, because Mitt's got this thing in the bag.

The show started off with a teaser on the screen about, "Big polling news today." I thought that was strange, considering the fact that this WAS, after all, Faux News, and all the swing State polls released today showed Obama with a massive and ever-widening lead. I would have thought they'd be downplaying the new polls, not trumpeting them as big news.

When I next looked up, O'Really? was doing his little Talking Points thing, with lots of his points written out on the screen, so I was able to follow it a bit. First he showed the polls from Florida and Ohio that showed Obama with huge leads. Then he showed what I assume is some sort of national poll, because it had Obama and Rmoney's pictures next to each other, both with the number 46% under them. That's right, Bill O'Really? is trying to tell his loyal lapdogs that this thing is actually TIED right now nationally. Then he threw up a poll from this time in 2008 that showed Obama with a 5-point lead over McCain and admonished his throng of underlings to take heart because Rmoney is actually doing MUCH better right now than McCain was in 2008.

Then he went on to "inform" us that we shouldn't put much stock in the new polls because Democrats were oversampled. So just toss those new polls right onto the fire. They don't mean anything. His next point was that, as his infinite wisdom has been saying ALL ALONG, this election will be decided by the debates. Even if that were true, that's HORRIBLE news for Rmoney and the Republicans. Rmoney's going to get his clock cleaned worse than McCain did.

This next bit was the one that nearly made me fall on the floor laughing. He "advises" us that, AND I QUOTE, "Most Americans agree that Obama is doing a poor job of leading the country, particularly on the economy." That's a DIRECT QUOTE. Funny, but the polls I've seen say the exact opposite of that, but hey, Bill's never been one to let facts stand in his way.

He closed by saying that after the commercial, he was going to talk to some people "WITHOUT SPIN" on whether or not we can believe the new polls. Guess who his guests were. Karl Rove, some guy I didn't recognize, and John K-Suck. Yeah, I'm sure ALL of them would give totally spin-free accounts of how THEIR internal polling numbers (which are infinitely more reliable than those dirty, dirty polls released today) show Rmoney with a huge lead in Florida and Ohio. What a joke.

Even the most brainwashed of right-wing idiots HAS to know that he's being blatantly LIED TO, doesn't he? This kind of crap doesn't even pass the "smell test." I always thought propaganda had to at least be SOMEWHAT believable.

"Fair and Balanced".

Goebbels would be proud of this crew and their understanding of propaganda.

They are doing this so they can claim the so-called winners are illegitimate and thus begins the next election cycle.

Having a 365 day, 24 for hour campaign diverts the attention of all the stuff they are doing to continue the dumbing down of the populace.
